I have no idea why. Granted, the last week of school was rather exhausting...then again, it's either that or college here is so little work that I'm too busy out doing things to actually update. Clearly, some kind of balance needs to be struck here. Or I just need to stop making excuses--which ever's easier. XD Now, I was struck down by a fever and a hacking cough from late Friday night until early Monday morning. I could have certainly used that time to update this, but instead I chose to a) attempt to review the 150 or so kanji I'd forgotten but needed to know for the test today (a word of advice: don't study kanji with a fever as it's just futile: you'll forget it all and flunk anyway) and b) actually put some information on my Mixi account. Starting new online accounts actually stresses me out at first--I mean, what to write? What the hell do I want to put up there anyway? And why on earth do I need yet another account somewhere to forget about like all the others? ...ok, so it doesn't really stress me out as much as qualify as something worth procrastinating on. When I was in Japan last time, I actually didn't have a Mixi. All the Japanese kids my age I met either in my neighborhood in Fukuoka or at school seemed to be more enthralled with Ameba at the time. I actually spent a fair amount of time the other day trying to resurrect my old Ameba account from back then since I thought it might be interesting to try to reconnect with some of those people (even though I'm now on a totally different island and all), but no luck: I neither remember my login name or password and know for sure I don't use that email address anymore. ...and my thought process was just totally derailed for roughly 3 minutes by a coughing fit. Honestly, I don't remember where I was going with that up there. Likely no where. While I no longer have a fever and therefore have no excuse not to go to class (not like real excuses count here: even if we're legitimately sick, we aren't allowed to make up tests in Japanese class...hence why I went in to fail that kanji test: even a failing grade is better than a zero), I still don't feel great. : \ I'm hoping I get better soon since I don't want to miss the Vistlip live and I for sure have to be well by Dec. 5th to go on the D'espa fanclub trip!
